Senior Project Manager

Position Description
Falcons Treehouse is hiring a Senior Project Manager (SPM) to successfully manage our projects domestically and abroad. These projects are typically theme parks and special themed attractions that combine the services of specialty designers and fabricators, scenic, lighting, AV, and ride vendors to produce a show or an attraction or a series of attractions for our clients. The SPM will work with the FTH internal teams to understand, evaluate and implement the vision of the design and to represent that vision to the various show and ride vendors on a particular project.

The SPM will proactively interface with our clients other internal and external project managers and planning and design teams to ensure that a concise roadmap from design to opening has been established and then implemented. The SPM will ensure that all project deliverables and contract requirements are completed and delivered in a timely manner. Periodic reporting and updates of the project status, indicating any problems, delays or design changes, solutions and strategies is required. The SPM will develop schedules containing a multitude of tasks and sub tasks to ensure that a concise roadmap from concept to opening has been established. He/she will organize, implement and maintain the baseline schedules utilizing information gathered from all relevant resources throughout various stages of the project. This includes routine evaluation of the project progress and identifying any developing problem areas to determine the best alternative course of action to mitigate potential delays. All schedule impacts/changes will be logged for contract coordination and reporting purposes by the SPM.

The SPM duties will include budget management for the show vendors, management of change orders and approval of pay requests.

Essential Functions:
1. Ability to manage several projects and project teams concurrently, develop a comprehensive schedule and outline specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish multiple project deliverables simultaneously across the entire project portfolio.
2. Report to senior management progress and issues, providing solutions
3. Working directly with the client in a respectful and business-like manner to resolve concerns and work out issues as the project proceeds.
4. Be comfortable and confident managing a fast-paced environment with multiple conflicting deadlines.
5. Organize and manage weekly project related meetings with key vendors and clients, noting and distributing the minutes of these meetings.
6. Travel to project sites and vendor’s facilities when needed, to confirm quality and schedule, ensuring that the vendors are on track with the design and the clients expectations.
7. Report to the executive team and to the project via detailed assessment of the current situation, highlighting progress and concerns and providing solutions.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 5 years managing projects for experience working with theme park and attraction design, fabrication and installation.
2. Capacity to keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to the position.
3. Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
4. Utilization of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
5. Capacity to work productively and collaborate with our clients using a positive approach.
6. Must be able to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day.
7. Ability to travel domestically and internationally for short and longer durations.
8. Experience with software such as MPP, Word, Excel, also experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and AutoCAD would be a plus
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and an up to date passport.
