Project Planner / Scheduler

Position Description
Falcons Treehouse is hiring an in-house project planner/scheduler to support with projects worldwide. The project planner/scheduler will be responsible for assisting the project teams in the planning and implementation strategy of multiple projects. He/She is responsible for collecting and analyzing information from our internal design and media teams, as well as various external ride and show vendors that are involved in realizing the project. This may also include interfacing with the Client’s architectural, engineering and their internal project management teams.

The project planner/scheduler will develop a schedule containing a multitude of tasks and sub tasks to ensure that a concise roadmap from concept to opening has been established. He/she will organize, implement and maintain the baseline schedules utilizing information gathered from all relevant resources throughout various stages of the project. This includes routine evaluation of the project progress and identifying any developing problem areas to determine the best alternative course of action to mitigate potential delays. All schedule impacts/changes will be logged for contract coordination and reporting purposes by the project planner/scheduler.

Additionally, the project planner/scheduler will interface with the Executive and Project Management teams to develop timelines for proposals, contracts and to ultimately deliver a project within the established timeframe.

Essential Functions:
1. Ability to develop a comprehensive roadmap and outline specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish multiple project deliverables simultaneously.
2. Apply excellent memory and organizational ability, to set priorities, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
3. Be comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced environment with multiple conflicting deadlines.
4. Participate in brainstorming sessions and project charrettes to assist in establishing timelines.
5. Participate in weekly project related meetings, keeping track and updating base line schedules that will highlight trends and issues.
6. Take a realistic/feasible approach to the schedule by offering solutions that will meet real-world needs while maintaining the intended schedule.
7. Travel to project sites and vendor’s facilities when needed, to confirm deliverables and timelines, then report back to project management via detailed assessment of the current situation, highlighting progress and concerns.
8. Communicate frequently with Executive team regarding the progress made on various assigned projects.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3 years planning and scheduling experience working with attraction and theme park design, fabrication and installation type projects.
2. Experience with software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera, and experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and AutoCAD would be a plus.
3. Knowledge of typical attraction vendor types and roles such as ride suppliers, scenic fabricators, lighting integrators, A/V integrators, SFX vendors, and SAE vendors.
4. Capacity to keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to the position.
5. Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
6. Utilization of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
7. Must be able to do basic mathematical computations with a high degree of accuracy.
8. Must be able to handle multiple interruptions and adjustments to priorities throughout the day.
9. Ability to travel domestically and internationally for short and longer durations.
10. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
