The 3D Modeler will help prepare, create, and complete accurate 3D models ranging from small interiors to park scale developments. They will work closely with the 3D Modeling Manager and Design Director, this position is critical to the correct interpretation and ultimate realization, of the overall creative vision of the project. They will typically utilize Maya, Rhino, and Sketchup but should possess the ability and desire to learn new design software packages.
This position involves working on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines. The 3D Modeler may need to implement quick revisions to match the Management team’s requests. The 3D Modeler will interpret the given creative direction and generate the visual 3D concepts for various entertainment projects. It also involves supporting the detailed articulation of that concept through each design and production stage. Additionally, the 3D Modeler will be responsible for generating their production deliverables within the given guidelines and time constraints.
The 3D Modeler must be self-driven, operating effectively with minimal oversight - yet welcome collaboration and feedback from other team members. They must be emotionally secure to respect differing perspectives and embrace discussion regarding the created artwork. Strong communication skills are a must, with a high emphasis on articulating creative ideas and expressing one’s opinions clearly and in a straight-forward manner.
